SMALL RICHMOND PRIVATE PRACTICE FOR SALE

Are you thinking of starting your own practice, but are afraid to make the commitment? Here is an excellent opportunity to take baby steps without breaking the bank. In 1984 I purchased a private practice which originated in 1947. Although I still work there about 4 days per week, a doc should be able to handle the current volume in 2 days per week with the right support staff. My primary objective is enabling a continuity of care for my medical patients.

This practice is biased heavily on medical. VSP is my only vision plan. Engaging with others would increase your volume immediately. I currently have a staff of one since my office manager of 30 years retired, which sadly is not enough to handle a larger patient volume or even send recalls. A larger staff would enable higher volume. I haven't purchased EHR or OCT since I would just pass their worth into the price whether or not you approve of the brand purchased. This way, you get what you want and pay less for the practice. Why haven't I made these moves? It's simple, after 40 years I've had enough and am no longer reliant on this income.

EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE except 2 items:

  • Purchase price will be affordable
  • You can rent my 1500 sqft location or move for more square footage
  • Can include or exclude furniture or equipment
  • Can stay any amount of hours per month if you desire the goodwill factor
  • Can mentor on how I once ran the practice at triple the current volume with only 2 staffers
  • Can train about payroll and periodic taxes and associated paperwork
  • Can teach bookkeeping
  • I can try to help you obtain my governmental side gig at a very lucrative salary currently at four days per month (maybe more available) which is not competitive with any private practice
  • You can continue with my assistant or bring your own

The two exceptions are:

  1. If you don't have the liquidity, I'd prefer not carry the loan personally
  2. I will not sell the building with the practice (unless you pay $200,000 over the market price which represents my tax savings if I delay that sale)
