The 115th Virginia Optometric Association Annual Conference is now part of our great history. And we had a great time!
The Williamsburg Lodge was a setting fit for our meeting and Williamsburg, as always, played host to our best-attended conference in a number of years.
Our conference kicked-off Thursday evening with a sold-out Scleral Lens workshop, followed by a day of engaging education on Friday. We were welcomed to the Exhibit Hall by Colonial Williamsburg Fife and Drum, a fitting "call to arms." Friday evening we gathered for what turned out to be a steamy speak-easy as we socialized in a secret location within Merchant Square. Saturday continued with early morning classes followed by the VOA's business meeting. Here, members heard updates on what our association has accomplished over the previous year with a look ahead to the coming year. Saturday evening we celebrated our president Dr. Rob Allen at the President's Banquet and Awards Dinner, followed by a proper social in the Sweet Tea and Barley Lounge. Sunday wrapped up the conference weekend to conclude another Virginia conference.
We'll see you in Norfolk for Harborfest in June of 2018!
