The 114th Virginia Optometric Association's Annual Conference is now complete. And we had a great time! The Omni Homestead proved to be one of Virginia's jewels as new and old members as well as out-of-state guests came together for a memorable experience. The weekend started early with a wet lab featuring amniotic membrane use, billing and coding. The exhibit hall was once again full of conversation, comradery, and exhibitors supporting our association. Friday evening featured fireworks off the terrace in celebration of the Homestead's 250th year anniversary. Saturday continued with early morning classes followed by the VOA's business meeting. Here, members heard updates on what our association has accomplished over the previous year with a look ahead to what's planned for the upcoming year. Saturday evening we celebrated our president, Dr. Christine Cook, at the President's Banquet and Awards Dinner, followed by a proper social in The Jefferson Bar. Sunday wrapped up the conference weekend to conclude another Virginia conference.
Thank you to my committee, the VOA staff and those attendees, who are so supportive of our efforts. We have already started planning the 115th Annual Conference at the Williamsburg Lodge.
See you in Williamsburg in 2017!
