Employer Sign Posting Requirement Delayed
The National Labor Relations Board has POSTPONED the implementation date for its new requirement on businesses (of all sizes) posting signs on employee rights. New effective date is January 31, 2012 though it could be extended again.
The delay followed questions from businesses and trade and professional associations questioning which businesses were required to post the notice of employee rights. The NLRB had previously indicated individual health care providers fell under jurisdiction of the posting requirement.
We previously advised you the sign posting was pending. Now we can advise you it’s been postponed until at least January 31, 2012.
